FAQ's
Do I have to audition?
Yes! Auditions help us gauge each dancer's abilities and place them in routines suited to their skill level.
We welcome students age 6 and older. This year's auditions will take place on October 5th, 2024. You can access the auditon form here.​​
​Do you offer opportunities for both dance and vocal competitions?
​Yes, our competition team participates in both dance and vocal categories. Students can choose to compete in either or both areas, depending on their interests and strengths.​

What skills do I need to join the competition team?
We are an inclusive team, welcoming dancers of all skill levels! we look for dedication, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. Whether you’re experienced or still growing, we’ll help you develop the skills needed to succeed in competition.​
​​What is a typical competition season like?
Our competition season runs from November to July. Most rehearsal days take place between Saturday and Sunday.

How many classes do I need to take?
You are required to take a class in the genre of the competition routine(s) you’re assigned. However, we highly recommend that competition team members join the Star Program, which includes all five core classes: jazz, ballet, hip-hop, tap, and either lyrical or contemporary. By joining the Star Program, you’ll save on monthly fees.
Where are competitions held?
All required competitions are local, except for Spotlight Nationals, which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada this season.

What are the fees?
To join the team, you’ll need to pay a monthly fee, which we’ll explain in detail at our competition meeting. There will also be additional costs for competition entries, costumes, and travel. We’ll provide a clear breakdown of all expenses at that meeting.
